UTFO (UnTouchable Force Organization)

UTFO, an abbreviation for Untouchable Force Organization, was an American hip-hop group hailing from Brooklyn, New York. The group was composed of Kangol Kid (Shiller Shaun Fequiere), Educated Rapper (Jeffrey Campbell), Doctor Ice (Fred Reeves), and Mix Master Ice (Maurice Bailey).

Their most renowned single is "Roxanne, Roxanne," widely acclaimed as a hip-hop classic. The track created a sensation in the hip-hop scene upon its release, sparking the "Roxanne Wars," with estimates of over 100 responses from other artists. One of the most notable responses was by Roxanne Shante, a protegee of the producer Marley Marl, leading to the first rap battle. Originally, "Roxanne, Roxanne" was the B-side of the single "Hangin' Out."

Due to personal issues, Educated Rapper was absent from the group's second album, "Skeezer Pleezer" (1986), which produced the single "Split Personality." Educated Rapper, however, featured on a track from the album titled "Pick Up The Pace," also part of the soundtrack for the film Krush Groove.

In 2008, "Roxanne, Roxanne" was ranked number 84 on VH1's list of the "100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop."

On June 3, 2017, Jeffrey Campbell passed away after battling cancer.
